A power of attorney will allow a trusted family member or friend to make alternative plans, access your bank account, talk to your travel insurance company, and make changes to those plans more easily than you may be able to whilst overseas.

Planning for your holiday is also a good time to think about planning for things going wrong.

What if it is not simply a flight delayed by bad weather?  What if you get sick or injured whilst away? It is a good opportunity to ensure that your affairs are in order and if something does go wrong, your family and friends can carry out your wishes.

Prepare your Will, Power of Attorney, and an Advance Care Directive before you go away and enjoy your holiday knowing that you have planned for all contingencies.
