Attorney-General for Australia George Brandis QC announces comprehensive review of the Family Law Act
The Attorney-General has commissioned the Australian Law Reform Commission to undertake a comprehensive review of the entire family law system. This would be the first significant review of the procedures and law since the Family Law Act’s inception in 1976 according to the Attorney-General. Professor Helen Rhoades of the University of Melbourne will lead the review.
