Troy joined our firm in January 2013 and has a passion for assisting his clients in difficult times and strives to obtain a just and practical resolution. Troy represents clients as a solicitor, but has a real passion for Courtroom advocacy and acts as Counsel for the firm on many matters before the Federal Courts, State Courts and tribunals. Troy is also available to act as an agent in the capacity of Counsel for other solicitors in Court matters.

Troy practices primarily in the areas of Family Law, Deceased Estates and Wills and Estate Planning, but also regularly assists clients in Criminal Law matters and Conveyancing.

Troy understands the complexities involved in Family Law matters and recognises that heightened emotions are often the first hurdle in settling disputes. Troy has in depth knowledge regarding Children’s disputes, property settlement (married, de facto and same-sex couples) and divorce.

With a detailed oriented but sympathetic approach, Troy is able to manage Estate Administration matters in a compassionate but timely fashion to minimise the stress on his clients after the passing of a loved one. When providing advice concerning Wills and Estate Planning Troy acts with a pragmatic approach to the application of legal principles in his client's specific circumstances and is able to deliver realistic and clear advice. He aims to provide his clients with a range of options to best suit his client’s needs.

Troy has a Bachelor of Health Science, a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Troy is admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia. Troy is a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the University of South Australia Law School Alumni Board.
